Vin du Pays de Herve was born in 2017. With nearly 1000 committed cooperative members, we have planted and maintained 15 hectares of vines, created a professional winery, and above all, produced wines that improve every year.
Since 2017, the Vin du Pays de Herve cooperative has brought together enthusiasts around a collective project: producing high-quality wines while respecting the terroir, the environment, and the people. Thanks to the strength of its members, its initial 8 hectares of planted vines have expanded, and the modern winery now allows them to vinify, refine, mature, and share the fruits of their labor.
Our cooperative is a Social Purpose Cooperative Society (SC ES). We cultivate without pesticides, we favor resistant grape varieties, we promote short supply chains, and we offer everyone the opportunity to get involved: harvesting, management, tastings, the life of the cooperative…
Being a member of the Vin du Pays de Herve cooperative means actively participating in the construction of a sustainable, local, responsible project, and benefiting from the pride of seeing wines born that carry the taste of our region.
Our grape varieties
We cultivate a selection of grape varieties adapted to our terroir:
Solaris, Johanniter, Muscaris, Souvignier Gris and
Chardonnay for white wines
as well as Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Cabernet Cortis and Divico for the reds.
Our plots
From Montzen to Hombourg, via Clermont, each plot contributes to the richness of our blends and reveals a different facet of our terroir.
We have chosen grape varieties perfectly suited to our Belgian climate.
Each grape variety has been selected to offer the best balance between respect for the environment, natural resistance to disease and aromatic quality.
These varieties allow us to produce expressive, fresh and elegant wines, true to the terroir of the Pays de Herve.
The Vin du Pays de Herve vineyard now covers more than 15 hectares, spread across several hillsides carefully chosen for their exposure and the quality of their soils.
Our winery, located in Bois de Loë in Aubel, is the beating heart of the cooperative: it is here that the grapes become wine, in a place designed to welcome, vinify and share.

Each vintage is an opportunity to tell a story and share a little more of the taste of the Herve region.
Our wines reflect our philosophy: to produce characterful, organic Belgian wines rooted in their terroir and crafted with care.
